Statistics of Chinese Stone Import and Export in 2020

In the year 2020, China imported 12.6 million tons of stone materials, a drop of 10.6% year-on-year, an increase of 6.8% over 2019,the value of goods worth us $2.37 billion, a decrease of 12.3% year-on-year, and a decrease of 13.1% over 2019.

Among them, the quantity and value of imported waste materials accounted for 93.7% and 96.3% respectively, which decreased by 2.3% and 0.1% respectively. The top 10 import sources accounted for 87.1% of China's total stone imports, an increase of 0.4% over the previous year.

In 2020, China exported 8.7m tons of Stone Materials (excluding 25174900 tons) , a decrease of 12.6% year on year, increase 2.9% over the previous year; the value of goods worth USD $6.54 billion, an increase of 14.9% year on year, and an increase of 24.8% over the previous year.

From the data, we could found the export volume of the stone especially the decorative stone decreased  a lot, mainly because the ceramic protucts are the better substitute to the stone ,have the similar appearance, but better quality and better prices , so they accepted better year after year .
